Individual Role
My role:
As part of the team project my role was split between multiple roles such as:
- Animator,
- UI Developer,
- Character Rigger
- Support 3D Modeller.
Initially for my role my main intention was to create a main menu and a cutscene for out game. I was also helping with making 3D models and further on with development I then adopted new roles to help other members of the team with their parts such as character creation and rigging and 2D asset making. i also helped with other aspects of the game and was used as a way to help with any extra things that needed for the game. i have had previous experience in all aspects of game creation so i was able to comfortable be able to slot in wherever i was needed. i also was working on other things for the game such as a trailer and created a piece of music that would go over top some game play footage and created a 3d character that would also be in the trailer however due to some time constraints with other members of the team i was not able to complete this work
Skills and Strengths:
Because of the particular set of skills, I have acquired over many years I was able to support other developers on this project as well as complete my own tasks. This means that I was able to pick up any work like 3D models that was required for the final project.
My biggest strength on the project was animation the opening cutscene within the unreal engine software. Using different techniques of animation, I was able to create a cutscene which I believe successfully showed off the feel and style for the game while also giving the player a little backstory as to how the character got on the train.
